There are a lot of different kinds of landscapes in Ecuador: from the endlessness beaches, to the legendary jungle, including villages built of wood and bamboos, to megalopolis with more than 3 million habitants; but the Ecuadorian Andes… Wow! It is something special.

Pieces of green hills and mountains that emerge through the clouds appear everywhere. Rivers far down of the valleys and cliffs once in a while… Every curve of the road opens to new sceneries.

A new critical zero-day vulnerability has been discovered in the Linux kernel that could allow attackers to gain root level privileges by running a malicious Android or Linux application on an affected device.
The critical Linux kernel flaw (CVE-2016-0728) has been identified by a group of researchers at a startup named Perception Point.
The vulnerability was present in the code since 2012, and affects any operating system with Linux kernel 3.8 and higher, so there are probably tens of millions of computers, both 32-bit and 64-bit, exposed to this flaw.
However, the most bothersome part is that the problem affects Android versions KitKat and higher, which means about 66 percent of all Android devices are also exposed to the serious Linux kernel flaw.

At CES today, Youtube chief business officer, Robert Kyncl, announced that the platform will soon introduce support for high dynamic range (HDR) video content. In TVs, high dynamic range refers to an expanded contrast ratio and color palette that allows for more realistic and natural looking images. But you’ll need an HDR-capable TV as well as HDR content for the full effect. That means your TV needs to be able to produce more light in specific areas of the image on screen than a normal display. Samsung, LG, Sony and Panasonic announced at CES that they will deliver HDR support in their upcoming flagship TVs. The feature is said to bring to life sports footage as well as stylized movies and TV shows like Game of Thrones, which features heavily colorized scenes. With that, YouTube is the third online video service, alongside Amazon and Netflix to offer support for HDR. It’ll be interesting to see how content creators take advantage of it. More lifelike cat videos, perhaps?
